Tatsuya he made a cameo in P3, but only by name.
Philemon he's a key character in the series but he was only referenced but not in 3 or 4.

I'd like to see Junpei return from P3 god I love that guy he was always in my party. Other than that I'd like to Aegis return as shes a robot and does'nt age.

An older Nanako, possibly involved with the main storyline. Or Akihiko! He's already in the anime, after all.
 
Though, a completely new cast would be preferable.

I'd like to see Hidetoshi from Persona 3 return as one of the teachers.

A grizzled Kanji in his 20s or 30s running an adorable textile shop with his "life partner."

An older Nanako would be awesome. For most of the other characters, I'd say small mentions here and there, or at most, cameos, would be good. 
 
No matter how much I like Yukiko, Kanji, Rise, and Naoto, as well as the rest of the characters, I think their main story's should stay in P4. 
 

Assuming P5 takes place a 2-3 years after P4, the P4 group would be 20 or 21, P3 group would be 23 and 24, P2 they'd be 30 and 40's.

I would really like to see Junpei and Akihiko make an appearance, it would be extra awesome if they were like advisors or something.

Um; well I asked this question in the P5 wishlist but apparently it's important enough for it's own thread?

I don't think any of the investigation team is suited to return in P5 because well most of them seem like they are going to be stuck in Inaba forever; cept Rise, so maybe a Risette commercial or movie poster.

What I would really like to see is an MMO S. Link again.  Bonus points if it was called Eternal Punishment.

Ayane is the trobone player no? Well; she grows up to be in Oreskaband! That would make Persona 5 a massively epic win. 

Well, I would assume that they will do something like what they did in Persona 4, where they had Chihiro and Mr. Edogawa appearing as well as a reference to Mitsuru.
 
 So I would expect a minor S. Link character to appear at some point in P5, make a statement that vaguely references a member of the investigation team, and then leave.

Unless Persona 5 is going to be in inaba, we aren't going to see most of the p4 characters, except for rise, and possibly souji. I'd like to see an older nanako too, if they can find a way to put her into p5.

I really hope an older Nanako shows up as part of the main cast of Persona 5, other than that maybe Naoto as a detective and Rise as a film star as cameos. I loved seeing Chihiro again, there needs to be more of that in Persona 5.

Nanako, like the rest said. Also, cameos from both teams from P3 and P4 including the MC's would be quite cool. I assume both groups continue to work after the game ends, or at least they keep track of things even if they got over with their lives. I'd find quite satisfying, for example, including Naoto in P5 as an agent of the Investigation Team after some serious shit starts happening in the P5 storyline.

My guess is that were going to get is a poster of Rise in the P5 protagonist room. As for what I like to see, I go with Yukiko but we all know that it not going to happen.

That'd likely be a localization in-joke.

I doubt any of them need to be shoehorned into a major role since I take it that after their game the characters have since moved on to living a normal life (or as much of one as they can).

Definitely Rise.  Her being a television idol would make her easy to work in as a cameo. 
 
Teddie is the only other one I could think of.  Maybe if P5 characters were to visit Inaba for god knows what reason, an older Yukiko tending to the Amagi Inn would be kinda cool.
