Poll To beard or not to beard? (573 votes)
That is the question. I'm honestly not sure how many beard states there are, but the fact that this is one of few games with facial hair states has me SUPER STOKED. BEARD STOKED

@counterclockwork87: The beard has different lengths and "grows" but I wouldn't go so far as to call it procedural. Maybe dynamic would be a better term.
That's the normal state of the beard in-game, and there is free beard DLC that will allow you to select a certain length and have it stick, I believe that's how it will work.
Like GTA V, I'll use the beard to represent how haggard my character is feeling at any given time in the story. Like any story, I imagine there will be points where the odds are stacked against Geralt, and I'll use the beard to portray the gruffness required of the situation.
@vahleticar: In the GameSpot review, it says how Geralt can visit a barber and get a clean shave, and over time the beard grows back.
I said no beard because I like the way Geralt looks clean shaven, but if the facial hair is affected by Nvidia's fancy PC hair tech and blows around in the wind I might have to let him grow it out a bit.
I'm really happy to see everyone stoked about the beard feature. This is the kind of thing Fable had promised back in 2003/04. 11 years later we have it. This is true next gen. This is a true RPG
I'm serious when I say that if I try this game I'm considering turning Geralt's voice off if possible. I absolutely hate it. There's no life to it and it's boring to listen to him. I think I'd go with the beard though.
