Overview
Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster is a sci-fi horror first-person puzzle-adventure game developed by Amazing Media and published by Interplay for Windows PC and Macintosh computers in 1995.
Loosely based on the 19th century novel Frankenstein, Through the Eyes of the Monster is an adventure game similar to the 1993 game Myst, with players exploring pre-rendered 3D environments using a point-and-click interface while solving puzzles. It also include live-action cutscenes, starring well-known actor Tim Curry as Dr. Frankenstein.
Players control Philip Werren, a man who was hanged for the murder of his daughter Gabrielle, only to be reanimated from the dead by the mad scientist Victor von Frankenstein. As Frankenstein's monster, Philip must explore Frankenstein's castle to learn about his past and his connection with the doctor.
The game was later ported to the Sega Saturn by Alexandria, Inc. (later Tachyon Studios), released exclusively in Europe. It also received a sequel in 1996, known as Mummy: Tomb of the Pharaoh.
