A game that deserves a sequel
This game was amazing. The story missions where a ton of fun but the real meat of the game was the ahead of its time multilayer. You use your mech to take over checkpoints allowing you to build units that automatically go about their jobs, be it the tanks trying to infiltrate the enemie's base or the flying helicopters and war planes to harass the opponents mech and vehicles. This allows you to concentrate on your mech so that there are no cheap deaths as there is nothing else you need to directly control. There is still nothing like it on the market. It's a shame this game did not do well when it came out. It is still one of my favorites. It would be sweet if EA made a sequel but doubtful since, as the wikpedia page says, the original developers split up.
