After watching the Microsoft and Sony conference, I check the schedule and notice there is a EA conference happening soon. Considering most of the GB crew is probably sleeping, getting hammered or DOTAing. I was wondering who else is going to watch this and see if this presentation becomes mediocre at best or a train-wreak or possibly good?

And then they unpause and one of the sims dies instantly and then the whole segment changed to be about Death

Rachel Franklin is super intriguing to me. She seems like a super nice, stereotypical 'hot mom with money that lets her kids have their friends over for a couple beers in the basement once they're seniors in high school' vibe but then she gets on stage to give these Sims demos and always finds a way to gleefully murder them or make them depressed.

The game Austin is working on is named Shadow Realms and looks like an ARPG.

Well this is already way better than their shitty E3 showing.

At E3, they said there'll be more on Battlefront next spring, so I wouldn't expect to see anything here.

4vs1 is becoming the norm. First Evolve, then Fable Legends, now this

At least it makes matchmaking queues shorter.

I always liked the idea of chapters being their own 'episode' with their own storyline but also still relating to all the others

Gives a good excuse to be in one setting and then completely change to a whole new place in the next chapter.

Also, I think Condemned Criminal Origins will always remain my favorite 'cop' videogame

Hardline singleplayer looks cool, might be worth a rental.

Well, I am certainly more interested in Shadow Realms than I was expecting to be. All the previous speculation pointed to it being a F2P MMO, but the fact that it seems geared more towards story and action rather than the typical MMO grind makes me infinitely more likely to give it a shot.

So... this stream has seemed almost unwatchable. It just keeps going down or stuttering. It will do fine for a while and then blegh. I could tell Dragon Age Inquisition was shaping up well, but then it started breaking down. Seems sadly appropriate for a EA stream.

I guess I'll just watch all the videos from it later.

It's been the opposite for me.

Yeah, I switched to the EA direct stream, and it has still been rubbish. Just random pauses and stutter. However they're piping it out hasn't done a great job.

Also I got really confused when he said "We have a freeze mechanic that you can use to freeze enemies" I was expecting some magic spells or something to bust out of his hand Bioshock style but then he pulled up his badge and said FREEZE

The way they were talking about the one player being like a DM, I would assume they'll be commanding hoards of AI enemies (like Dungeon Keeper), as opposed to the Evolve type of 4v1 of four players against a big monster.

Hardline single-player looks like another Crysis 1/Far Cry 3 type deal. Fine by me!

Gunplay looks clumsy though. AI is just fuckin standin out in the open shooting at you.
