Brad has to leave and go back to North Carolina for prison time.  He has an outstanding warrant for meth possession, and assault with intent to inflict body harm.    Last Jeff talked about it, he said Brad was getting around 3 to 5 years.  Plus added time for fleeing the charges.  But that wont be sentenced till Brad gets back to NC.     Fucked up, but his parents came to Cali, and convinced him to clean up and get his life straight.  Jeff and Ryan may have helped.  Hope he can manage and get off the crystal. I'm gonna take a guess and say that Gary is working on a new Whiskey Media website. Just like when Alex Navarro used to spend a lot of time at Whiskey and then Screened was revealed a few weeks later.

We can joke but I don't know what he's leaving to do. I'd have to assume he's going back south and to go into another field of journalism but I have no idea what. All I can hope is that his time with Gamespot and GiantBomb have given him enough cache to work in the 'real' journo industry.

Oh, and all this talk about Brad leaving Giant Bomb is just LIES people!

You know what it's like, once you get Gary Whitta under the carpet you need to fumigate the whole place to get rid of him... Wait, I might be thinking of something else.

1.  I would assume that Gary Whitta is probably pretty busy working on scripts, which more than likely make him a bigger chunk of money than being on Giant Bomb. 
2.  Why the hell would Brad leave, especially after only two years and especially after they just launched the membership program? 
 
That just doesn't make sense, and if anything, it sounds like it was a joke and nothing more.  Despite that, I've asked the man himself if he could offer a confirmation at all.  We'll see what happens?
