Hey guys, I just received this game as a present today, wasn't planning on getting it, but I want to know if the story will make sense if I haven't played Gears 3, I know it's a prequel but I'm just wondering if there will be anything mentioned I won't get, or if it will spoil anything if for whatever reason I go back and play Gears 3.

Not at all, although Aftermath which unlocks while playing the main game has ties to Gears 3, but it seems very, very light on any story stuff and might spoil some enemy types if you ever feel like playing that game.

I'm not even sure you need to have played any of the gears games to get enjoyment out of Judgment.

Also, You should play Gears 3.

Not really no, but for the unlocked Aftermath campaign will make more sense if you've played Gears 3. Also, you should really play Gears 3. But try out Judgement first. If you happen to like Judgement, chances are you're going to like Gears 3 too.

Nope, but what you should do is play judgement than play 3 and than play aftermath.

Judgement improves on somethings, but I'd still say 3 is the better game so it's definitely worth playing.

You do not have to but Gears 3 is by far the best gears game so you should still play it.

You should give whoever got you Judgement it back, slap them in the mouth, then tell them to get Gears 3 instead.

No. I am with everyone else though, Play Three. It's the best of the series. You may be in a pretty cool position actually. Play Judgement first and if you like it then you can get Three and play through that. Win win.

No but why would you play Judgment over 3? Judgment is very poor compared to 3.

Thanks guys, I do want to play 3, its just I'm in a situation where I have Judgment and I might as well play it now as I don't have the money to buy, play, and completed Gears 3 before playing Judgment.
