    Overview

General Di Ravello is the dictator of Medici, leader of the Di Ravello Militia (DRM), and primary antagonist in Just Cause. He is responsible for Medici's production of Bavarium, a highly explosive and magnetic resource only found on a number of Medici's islands.

    Background

Before the events of Just Cause 3, Sebastiano Di Ravello served in Medici's military and was honored with the rank of General. He was considered to be too mentally unstable to serve, but threatened to kill his psychiatrist to obtain a clean bill of health.

Sometime after his military career, Di Ravello planned to overthrow the previous government of Medici governed by President Dante. Di Ravello's plan inevitably worked out, and he would become the de facto leader of Medici.

    Just Cause 3

After the failed attack on Costa Del Porto, Di Ravello regroups with Tom Sheldon to discuss the issues that Rico Rodriguez poses to the militia. Di Ravello also reminds Sheldon of the deal that he offered to him, allowing Rico Rodriguez to become an orphan.

After the liberation of several military installations by the rebels, an enraged Di Ravello unleashes his anger onto one of his commanders - declaring Rico Rodriguez to be "a weak-minded child with a rope and a squirrel suit". He then orders his surviving elite soldiers to wipe out the remnants of Medici's resistance.

After Rico Rodriguez destroys the last of Medici's bavarium operations, Di Ravello decides to confront him on a volcano island. After a helicopter battle between the two, Di Ravello's helicopter crashes forcing him to surrender to Rodriguez. The player can choose to let Di Ravello kill himself, or they can shoot him off the edge of the volcano to his death.

It is to be assumed that after Di Ravello's death, Medici is governed as a republic, and the military & capital city are renamed. Di Ravello's successor is likely to be Rosa Manuela, who will inherit the title of president.

    Just Cause 4

Despite not officially appearing within Just Cause 4, Di Ravello appears as an easter egg numerous times. Some NPCs can be seen wearing t-shirts with Di Ravello's face. If Rico obtains the Cow Gun, they can use it on a cow, which turns the cow into a quadruped Di Ravello.

    Trivia

    • Di Ravello is voiced by Jon Avner.
    • He is a fan of the annual feast at Ponere.
    • Di Ravello has an intense hatred for Costa Del Porto.
    • In his free time, Di Ravello is an avid fisher and has allegedly won the Medici Sea Bass Classic at Vico Spigola a total of 22 times.
    • It can be assumed that Di Ravello is a Roman Catholic, his palace is decorated with religious crosses.
