    Overview

    God of War: Origins Collection is a compilation composed of both God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta remastered for HD on the PS3.

    The games were previously only available on PSP and have received various upgrades. First and foremost, both games are in HD which has lead to performance upgrades. They are also both 3D compatible. The games can now be played with a Dualshock controller and feature Playstation Trophies.

    The Games

    Both games were developed by Ready at Dawn for PSP and are being ported to PS3 by Sony Santa Monica.

    God of War: Chains of Olympus

    God of War: Chains of Olympus was released March 4th, 2008; it's the first God of War title to be released on PSP by Ready at Dawn. It introduces new weapons such as the Sun Shield and tells the story of Kratos as he investigates why the sun has fallen out of the sky. The game is set before the first game. The game has a Metascore of 91% and was awarded many handheld game of the year awards.

    The game announced God of War 3 on the back of its manual.

    God of War: Ghost of Sparta

    Set right after the first God of War, God of War: Ghost of Sparta was released November 2nd, 2010 and was developed by both Ready at Dawn and Sony Santa Monica. The game focuses on Kratos' background as well as the story of Atlantis and how it was destroyed. The game introduces new weapons such as the Arms of Sparta.
