New update has landed overnight, gtplanet.net

 has all the boring details. Many nice touches. Personal highlights:

• You can now save part way through a championship. (Sadly not during endurance races, yet.)
  
• Your B-Spec and A-Spec (I.E. you) drivers can now wear custom suits and helmets, which are handed out as bonuses.
• With that new seasonal events give out other prizes other than credits. There is a very enjoyable tough seasonal event that has been added with credits, gift tickets, suits and helmets as prizes.
• You can now buy and install parts and upgrades and tyres in the settings screen \0/ yippie! (Seems everything except weight reduction)
• The screen where you add/remove ballast now displays your cars weigh distribution.

Now all I need is someone to give me the killer setup for the cars in the new seasonal event.

Have they fixed the frankly broken and old menu system yet?

With each update they have made it all work quicker and there has been a few minor tweeks but no they haven't rearranged it and stuffed it with multitude of floating tetrahedra.

Should also point out that for a limited time only, all cars in the Online Collecter Dealership will be at half price and at 0 mileage. All event prizes are also tripled temporarily. 
In other words, RACE RACE BUY BUY!

Shit, might be time to go play some GT5, then!

I'll be buying a PS3 in a few weeks, after i pay off the semester. I might pick up GT5- though I've got a dozen other games I should play through first.

And there are special unique racing suits based on real world drivers. Can anyone say Stig?

Oh baby, there are some essential upgrades on that list that will make playing this infinitely more enjoyable. Nice.

Yeah the update caught me by surprise, had not visited gtplanet.com in awhile to know about it in advance (does anyone know if that is the definitive GT fan site?). I'm going to B-Spec it up while watching E3 trailers.

Does anyone know what the total update size is now in Gigabytes? It has to be near 2.5GB or more right? Pretty crazy/awesome.
