    Does it take to unlock the rest of Liberty City? I think I just finished killing Vlad. Hope I'm close to unlocking it.

    I think this is how it goes:
    The middle section becomes unlocked sometime during Elizabeta's missions.  The leftmost section becomes available during the Gerry McReary missions.  If that's correct I'd say you have roughly 15 more missions before middle section, and an additional 30 missions after that before the rest is available.

    It doesn't get much more interesting (times square is cool). After playing the whole game, I ended up finding that I liked the Coney Island replica area the best.
