I will be getting GTA IV soon with FREE MS POINTS, and I want to know what DLC to get. I would have put it in the GTA IV forums, but you aren't allowed to create a poll there.

    So, which DLC is better?

I'd say Gay Tony for sure, but you should totally pick up TLaD at some point as well.

Why not just get Episodes from Liberty City?  You get both, you can probably find it for less than the $40 asking price, and you get extra stuff that you don't get if you download.

You'll probably get more out of The Ballad of Gay Tony, but I thought that Lost and Damned's story and feel was way better. I don't want to say "gritty," because people who say that suck, but something about it just feels more...real?

Also, I'll take riding Johnny's bike on the Alderney highways over skydiving any day.

The Ballad of Gay Tony, it has a more interesting story, player character aside, and it has more potential for just having fun in both single player and multiplayer.  The weapons are more crazy, the new vehicles can be insane, and the parachute is a great addition that should have been in the multiplayer portion of the game since GTAIV hit shelves.

I was apparently in a bit of the minority, but I enjoyed The Ballad of Gay Tony MUCH more than The Lost and Damned.

If you're an achievement whore, though, you're probably want to get the Lost and Damned.  Gay Tony is a much tougher 100%.

Gay tony is Crazier but if you plan on playing both of them play it second. Gay Tony kinda wraps up the tale of the giant diamonds.

It must have been moved. I swear I put it in General Discussion because I wasn't allowed to create a poll in the GTA IV forum.

Gay Tony is more light, fanciful & "fun" than the grim & dour Lost & Damned. With that said, there shouldn't be a reason why you would want to get one and not the other, unless you don't want to pay $20 for each part. They're both fantastic pieces of DLC that I would be absolutely OK with buying for $60. Plus, both are intertwined with the main game, and it's nice to see nods & references to the main story in both DLC packs.

I suggest just saving your pennies & getting a used copy of Episodes of Liberty City. I got it $25 new when it released (thank you Amazon!). I'm sure you can find it around that price now.

EDIT: Also, Gay Tony is pretty much intended to be the final chapter of the GTAIV story, so it might be weird to start out with that one.

I would get the Episodes of Liberty city. Lost and Damned has a better story and feel, but Gay Tony has better multiplayer and more replay value for single player.

Yeah you should get Episodes from Liberty City, you get two pieces of good content so what have you got to lose?

Long as you play both eventually, doesn't matter which one you get first. Chronologically though, you might want to go with L&D since The Ballad actually spoils a few things for Johnny's story.

You should play GTA IV first, then TLAD then TBOGT. Story wise it's best IMO
