One of my favorite parts of the GTA franchise is the brilliant and downright cutting satire of life in America. I'm happy to report that the writing is still hysterically funny and offensive. Republican Space Rangers (MAKE THIS GAME ROCKSTAR) and Princess Robot Bubblegum haven't been confirmed to make a return, but this teaser still had me laughing my ass off.

Also, I think I read somewhere that there's an in-game Republican Space Rangers 'movie'.

It's definitely not subtle, but that's why I love it.

I was a little confused as to what you meant for a second, but then it just hit me that Ammunation wasn't in GTAIV... I remember them explaining it within the canon as Liberty City outlawing guns or something, so the Ammunation shops were closed down. Still, weird all the same.

What was it in GTAIV then? They had lots of gun shops.

They were just nondescript black-market stores. Though you would have most likely relied on Jacob instead, since once you got your affinity up with him, he'd sell you the same merchandise at a discount.

I swear there was a big Ammu-Nation in GTAIV but maybe i'm thinking of III. I can picture it now, quite a long signage on a street with some neon signs quite near the central district maybe in Alqonquin. But maybe i'm mixing it up....

It might have been but I think it was from III. Just checked on the GTAIV site and:Keeping in line with the political reality satirized by the game, the Ammu-Nation shops found in previous GTAs have been closed down. Taking their place, however, are a number of underground gun shops located in basements and alleys around the city.

I definitely spent time looking for that particular Ammu-Nation in while playing IV which just shows how confused I was.

EDIT: Having looked at the one in III I think you might be right.

Pissing off liberals and conservatives....you can't argue that GTA takes sides. I'm a life-long liberal and the Murry ad had me in stitches.

I've never played a GTA game but all this hype has me really interested, and these commercials are great.

Didn't really spent time watching any TV in GTA IV. Think I'll change that when I play GTA V.
