I run a small gaming website and have had good relations with ArenaNet and managed to get into this beta weekend. I have yet to be told what I can and cannot show but, post your suggestions here for videos and I will update the thread with them on Monday.

I did a similar thing on reddit and a few of them wanted particular skill videos for the Guardian and Thief, someone here might have some use out of them. PvP videos and then my written preview/impressions are the next things on the list.

If you can manage it, I'd love to see some gameplay of a dungeon's explorable mode. Besides that, any available sylvari and/or asura content.

The cash shop, if possible. It'd be nice to know exactly what kind of items are available and how they affect the game.. being able to buy guild influence inparticular seems like it could cause problems. But I'm guessing that will be off limits.

Sylvari and asura character creation would be good to see too.

My understanding is that press are allowed to cover the beta, but that they are under embargo until Monday, just a heads up. Personally I'd like to see someone trying to use a support/healer Guardian. If you need a reference for what I mean, I made something along those lines with the build calculator.

Maybe show off some of the underwater combat.

Non-combat stuff like trade, inventory, the auction house, maps, character creation and leveling, crafting, etc...

Asura/Sylvari content. Engineer's kits and how those work in practice.

Character customization!!! dances! oh and everything! :)

Asura/Sylvari content for sure. I am also interested in the auction house (trading post?) and how that functions, although I have to wonder if that is one of the things that they won't let people cover since they didn't allow discussion of it from the last press beta. I have to second the interest in non-combat stuff just because we haven't seen much of it yet.

I'd like to see how the dynamic events work and how the personal story work. Will it be something worth caring about or just another MMO where I stop reading the quest dialoge after the first couple of generic quests.

Can you look into specifically how the gems for gold systems actually work, because there is a ton of confusion regarding this.. Like an economy overview.

Another minor thing is that I've heard minipets are much bigger than GW1, please confirm. There's already a ton of gameplay and character creation etc, try and get something that other people wont.

@damswedon: I can speak now! Dude, there is no /dance in the game it doesn't give an error but yeah nothing happens. I talked to a developer and she/he said that they are still working on them.

Also there was no Asura or Slyvari in the game which sucked, ask me anything else you want to know about the beta.

@Seppli: I liked everything except for the WvW, as there was just not enough people playing it and it felt really empty, hopefully they will show it off a bit better next time around. The game is definately in a beta state, and as polished as it looks from the outside, I was having really bad performance issues (I was mostly sitting at around 20fps regardless of what settings and resolution and I was definitely not alone). The dungeons are quite different from the norm and I like how they are so much more than a cave full of mobs and a boss at the end, they are also really hard. The game also has a really good feel, each city has it's own flavour and the surrounding countryside is really beautiful to explore. I have so much more to say, so I'm going to get back to writing my preview / video editing.

Yeah - apparently the press converaged all on the same server (it's a small world apparently for gaming press), so the other two competing servers were all but empty. I guess I'll be in the next preview weekend happening next month, thanks to the pre-purchase program. Likely there's going to be houndreds of thousands playing the game then, so WvW will come together then (or not at all). Looking forward to trying it out.

@shinboy630: Yes, as you get out of the initial tutorial area, you start to see a lot of other races mixing into other's homeland. I played as a Norn Ranger for the majority of the time I spent in the PvE aspect of the game, and as I ventured further north I started completing some dynamic events with the Lionguard, which featured a few Sylvari fellows. They are extremely colourful and their colours really pop against the snow as you would expect. As you venture into higher level areas you start to see them abandoning their leafy garments and start wearing normal plate/leather armour like the rest of the races but, with their own colourful flare added to it. I'm still planning to use the Sylvari race for my first character. The next beta event date rumour is set for the 20th of April and I would be very surprised if they do not add the last two races in that release, as I played around as a high-level Sylvari at gamescom 2011 (August).

@Doctorchimp: No problem, I've been waiting for this game since it was announced all of those years ago and am happy to help fans of the game out. I played a large chunk of a Norn Ranger, in PvE there would be specific 'heart quests' that either involve protecting an altar to a animal spirit or helping out those particular animals in the area. I only found one quest where I actually transformed into Snow Leopard but, I would return to my normal form if I left the specified area. Bear, Snow Leopard, Raven and Wolf forms are all elite skills that are in the game, and you pick your spirit that guides you in the character creation, so I'm guessing that you will either have the chance to become all of them at will or at least the one you picked at the character creator screen. All forms were unlocked for PvP but, I could not equip them to my bar for some reason.

I've recorded most of the available Norn personal story, and will probably be releasing them over the next few weeks as I finish editing them.

@Seppli: Yeah it was a bit of a mess-up with ArenaNet, they told the people who had just been invited as testers that it was starting at 9AM pacific or something and sent an email out to press saying that the servers would be open 3 hours early to get all of the press on one server into the ArenaNet guild. A few of the testers obviously decided to just try and log on early, and then word spread and everyone just jumped onto the Anvil Rock server and yeah. Looking forward to playing the game with more people for sure.

That seemed to have been the case in the beta.

My main concern with the racial elites was how ridiculously OP some of them seemed. That giant tree and the rocket launcher are better than most class elites (just look at what the guardian has for elites, lol). However, Anet said earlier than racial skills would be weaker than class skills so I imagine they'll tone things down before launch.
