    Guild Wars 2 is an online RPG developed by ArenaNet, and continues the subscriptionless business model of the original Guild Wars. The game is set about 250 years after the events of its predecessor in a world devastated by the ancient elder dragons resurfacing after millennia of slumber.

    They won't. Those questions (from what I can tell) have some sort of effect on your personal story, and ArenaNet doesn't want you to have to sacrifice either your playstyle or the narrative you want for the other thing. It's the same reason the story is based on race instead of profession.

    @EnchantedEcho: The beta in April is open for everyone who pre-purchases, and they've already said the asura and sylvari will be playable, it'll be a near complete version of the game, with the release following not long after.
