    Overview

3D hair physics was first demonstrated at the 1996 Tokyo Game Show, when spectators were, for the first time, astounded by the realistic hair movement of Aoi Umenokouji in Virtua Fighter 3 for Sega's new Model 3 arcade system. Since then, hair physics has been featured in most 3D fighting games and subsequently many other 3D video games in general.
