The precursors to the newer Marathon class cruisers, these had a unique cross-support hull structure that made them very resilient to enemy fire. However, this design made them too expensive and time-consuming to produce, and their service was short-lived.
These are the forerunners to the Marathon class cruisers that were in service during the Halo trilogy. Its design makes it able to absorb an exorbitant amount of damage before critical components begin to fail. These cruisers were discontinued from service as they were seen as "over-designed" and not economically suitable for front line service. The only Halcyon ship seen in service is the pillar of autumnand to its credit, the ship performed flawlessly till the end. It was able to knock out a number of Covenant ships, including what is presumed to be a super carrier.SPECIFICATIONS
