The first game in the second trilogy of the Halo series has the Master Chief awakening from cryostasis (four years after the events of the previous trilogy) as he explores the mysterious Forerunner shield world Requiem, fights a newly-formed Covenant group, and accidentally awakens an ancient evil.

makes total sense to me. I think halo 4 is a blast but it really bugged me that there was really no strategic layer to it any more with all the randomness.

Meh. I really like Halo 4's multiplayer (a hell of a lot more than what was offered in Reach) and if it's considered casual or unrefined or whatever, well, at least I'm having fun with it.
