A fantastic end for Bungies involvement in halo
Halo Reach might be the best halo game. For me thats hard to say since my 2nd favorite game of all time is Halo: Combat Evolved, but Reach is just packed with content.
The first thing you will notice about reach is it is a good looking game. The facial animation is very good, and the graphics are much better than Halo 3's. The single player is very good and it has the right amount of set pieces and enemy variety to keep it fresh. There were also parts in the story that were genuinely sad. Once again Marty O'Donnell makes an amazing sound track that fits the mood well. Its also hard, the elites in Reach are smart. The enemy AI is some of the smartest i have ever seen. Which makes it even more unfortunate that the friendly AI is god awful worse than halo 3's. Just some advice don't let the AI drive, ever.
You will then most likely move on to multiplayer which is better than any game on consoles right now. A bold claim I know. There are so many options and the game is more balanced and takes more skill than Halo 3. I will be playing Reach for some time as i did with Halo 3. Matchmaking is fast and active roster makes joining friends easier. They have also added matchmaking to firefight which can be a lot of fun.
Forge is back and it"s great, but it seems its two steps forward and one back. The forge layout and mechanics are much, much better anyone can make a nice looking map with just a little bit of time. The thing is it has made some silly restrictions on certain items, and there are very few movable objects on forge world. It seems more for making maps than making these weird mini game type maps, like jenga, and puzzle maps, and Rupe Goldburg machines. Forge world is really cool but I don't think bungie was planing that I also want to forge in other places because the other maps are terribly under forgable which is sad because its harder to make jenga and balance maps in Halo now.
Halo: Reach is a fantastic game and its sad to think its the last one bungie will make. Bungie you made a fine game and it was the perfect way to send of one of my favorite series.
