A character type found in RPGs, MMOs, and class based Multiplayer games that focuses on keeping friendly characters alive. Their general role is to heal/buff and resurrect fallen allies.

Medics

The medic is a usually a supporting character or a class in multi-player games whose main role is maintaining the health and well being of his or her team-mates. Common tools of trade for the medic are first aid kits, bandages and mediguns.
