No point in gathering coins, gold, gil, money, or whatever if you can't buy anything with it.
Some games only allow the player character to carry a single item in their inventory at one time.
These games are designed to be played by one person, and one person only.
Slashing weapons are designed to cut and slice rather than causing blunt trauma. Examples include swords, axes, claws, naginatas, or even whips.
Temporarily makes your character or the world around you go faster, either by stepping on an object, activating a power or object, or by collecting a power up. There are many other ways in which a Speed boost can be used and it depends on the game.
A speedrun describes the action of a player attempting to complete a game in the fastest time possible. The rules of speedruns can vary, but generally allow glitching and sequence breaking as long as the player does not cheat with external devices/tools or tampering with the game.
The recording of data related to player performance or progress in a game. This feature is commonly found in RPGs or competitive multiplayer games. It does not include statistics in sports games, unless related to player performance.
A boss that doesn't move around during battle. It will instead use other means to "reach" the player.

The ability to move from one area to another instantaneously - typically through some sort of special power or device.
Sometimes when players beat a game, the credits sequence will end with the phrase similar to, "Thank you for playing!".
It's the designer's go-to guy. If they want to steer a player in a given direction they'll lock an in game door and force the player to find a way to either unlock it or find an alternate route.
An eye tracking peripheral.
Weapons can often be upgraded with new attachments, augmentations, or magical enchantments. These upgrades result in the original item being more powerful than originally intended.
Items found in video games that serve little or no use to the player, other than to be sold to NPC vendors for money.
A fanfare played at the end of a battle in which the player is victorious.
This is a place of special vulnerability. Particularly used in boss fights or when simply fighting Giant Enemy Crabs that cannot be defeated by usual means.
