    Henrik was the third overall pick of the 1999 entry draft, who through a series of transactions made by then Canucks General Manager Brian Burke was able to draft his identical brother Daniel as well at second overall.

    In the 2009–10 season, he won the Hart Memorial and Art Ross Trophies as the NHL's most valuable player and leading point-scorer, respectively.

    On 9 October 2010, Henrik was named the Canucks' 13th captain in team history.

    On February 15, 2013, Henrik became the franchise leader in points, overtaking Markus Naslund.
