    In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Imperium of Man is the unfathomably vast collective of humanity throughout the galaxy, ruled by the God-Emperor of Mankind from his Golden Throne on Earth. Under constant assault from traitors, heretics and aliens, the Imperium has demanded the unswerving devotion and service of all humanity for the past 10,000 years.
