    Java is an old adventurer Justin encounters early on in his adventures. Thanks to Java Justin is able to board a steamboat and begin his journey in the new continent of Elencia

    Java is an old, retired adventurer who lives isolated from Parm near some old mines. Justin meets Java after discovering his lost wallet in a restaurant. Even though Justin returned the wallet Java still gives Justin another task in return for his steamboat pass. Justin is sent to the mines to clear out the monsters that inhabit it. Justin clears the monsters out and at the same time, causes the mines to collapse. Java arrives just in time to help Justin and Sue escape the mines via carts. The three barely escape but are in the end successful. Pleased with Justin's skills as a person and adventurer Java gives Justin his steamboat pass so that Justin may cross the ocean to Elencia, beginning his journey.
