Good Story Driven Horror
At first I didn't like it but it really grew on me. The game starts you out with pretty much no indication of what to do or where to go unless I missed it somehow. The world is creepy and the story keeps you wanting to know what's going on. The map system that has you navigating like you actually would out in the wild will most likely turn a lot of players off but I enjoyed it a lot. Though it can be troublesome when the markers aren't at exact coordinates. The sounds in the empty tundra set the mood perfectly. Very creepy woodland noise creaking trees and howling wolves. Also if you hear something that sounds like a bundle of sticks rubbing together or paper rustling, a journal page is nearby. I spent 3/4 of the game wondering what the hell it was and it was a hint all along. Though I think it sounds more like sticks than paper in the wind. My main issue was the enemies that you run into. It's usually only at scripted times but in a few areas they roam around and it's troublesome. I wonder why they even included them out of set moments as it just made it frustrating. I enjoyed it a lot as a horror fan. Also Sean Bean.
