I had never heard of this before and was able to figure out it was a Suda game from the title.

Why is Asura's Wrath music playing.

#5 Posted by Phatmac (5686 posts) -

FUCK YEAH!

#6 Posted by ThePaleKing (613 posts) -

Looks like every other Suda 51 game. I'm betting this one will also have some great boss battles and a decent soundtrack while the rest of the game is an exercise in tedious gameplay and clunky controls.

Looks awesome!
Like a mixture of No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned.

#8 Posted by Ghost_Cat (1295 posts) -

Fuuuuuuuck yes!

#9 Posted by tsiro (214 posts) -

Holy hell I am all the way excited for this. Can't wait to see more!

This game looks baller as fuck.

Wow I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the song is licensed and not originally from those 2 games?

It's Dvorak's New World Symphony. I'm of the opinion that it enhances anything.

Why does that chick on the bike look like EVA.

...

METAL GEAR?!

#14 Posted by Aegon (5117 posts) -

The art style is so severe.

#15 Posted by SuperWristBands (2265 posts) -

Techo remix of Dvorak's New World Symphony? Fantastic.

Yes and I don't think I like it...

#17 Posted by Redbullet685 (5980 posts) -

Love how it looks. And I love Suda 51 so I'm all in.

#18 Posted by dungbootle (2454 posts) -

Yes!

#19 Posted by joshthebear (2700 posts) -

Duder, FUCK YES.

#20 Posted by Miketakon (512 posts) -

I really hope the gameplay isn't choppy like LC's was.

#21 Posted by ImaTreee (209 posts) -

when i saw the title to this, i somehow knew suda was involved

#22 Posted by ma_rc_01 (354 posts) -

Mondo Zappa, are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?!? And here I thought you would dissapoint me with your main character names after Travis Touchdown and Garcia Fucking Hotspur, good show Suda, good show.

Why is the Crocodile music playing.

Ha ! Ha ! I don't think From the New World was composed specifically for specifically for any video game or TV show. It seems to be pretty popular in Japanese media, however I don't think the setting here was nearly epic enough to warrant its use.

FACEPALM.jpg lmao.

This game looks nuts. Maybe I'll finally get on the Suda train and try this one out.

i don't know about the gameplay being shown, but this is a pretty cool trailer. the art style is.. a bit intense, but i don't have any doubts that Grasshopper is going to capitalize on it. i just hope that it'll come bundled with a great game. i was disappointed with Lolipop Chainsaw, but this looks more like NMH / Killer7 which is.. well, i've never played Killer 7 but i'm all for more NMH and assassins.

#26 Posted by Dark (356 posts) -

This trailer makes me have trouble believing that the killer is really dead, he looks fine.

Yeah, I just looked it up and Catherine uses a remix of it. Kinda weird that I didn't notice it since I recently played that. And it's pretty prevalent in other forms of media. DEM PHAT CLASSICAL MUSIC BEATS.

Art style looks great.

#29 Posted by Cold_Wolven (2167 posts) -

I'm getting a Killer 7 vibe with this game. I hope it's better than his last game Lollipop Chainsaw as I just couldn't get into that game.

I recognized it as being in Catherine despite having played Asura's Wrath last year, but I know it comes on when you fight Augus.

If it's just a hacky slashy game with some Suda craziness I don't think that's enough to pull me in this time. Suda's great and all, but eventually his games are going to need to run on more than just crazy.

#32 Posted by Ataribomb (101 posts) -

I know next to nothing is known about this yet, but I am beyond excited. Killer7 was one of my favorite games of last gen and this spiritual follow-up seems right up my alley. I'll be hyped to learn more as details come out, but this as with every other Suda game I have a system for, is probably going to be a day 1 buy. :D

Symphony No. 9 is the new Dragula.

#36 Posted by Mikey2D (217 posts) -

Sold! To be honest from hearing the premiss alone I was sold. The trailer just helps me confirm my decision. Suda 51 is a genius.

Killing the Suda51 way!

#38 Posted by WilltheMagicAsian (1543 posts) -

Looks super No More Heroes esque, at least more-so than it does Killer 7. Maybe that's just because he has a sword and the camera angle is kind of the same. Curious to see more though.

Dayum gurl.

Really like the look of this game. I thought Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned were OK, nothing amazing or anything. But I just adore the art style in this as well as the design of the main character. He looks like some sort of everyday Japanese stockbroker... Whom I assumed was killed and then somehow came back to life with a nifty cyborg arm.

#40 Posted by AngelN7 (2959 posts) -

Awesome this looks like the No More Heroes-y sequel I wanted (yes I know there's NMH2 by then I was out with the Wii)

#41 Posted by Ataribomb (101 posts) -

@Yummylee: I have to agree. The art style here is so slick and stylized, like what Killer7 was but cranked up to 11. I'm dying to know more about this game.

#42 Posted by Bribo (583 posts) -

Why hasn't this been flagged as youtube spam?

Is it because it's awesome?

I pissed everywhere.

Literally everywhere, like everything is yellow as fuck.

#44 Posted by TheHT (10272 posts) -

looks cool! main character seems a bit annoying, but hey, trailers.

#45 Posted by Mysterysheep (278 posts) -

Anybody here play Flower, Sun and Rain? Because the character in that was called Sumio Mondo, this guy is Mondo Zappa. They both share an interest in black suits as well... Maybe it's just a call-back?

Thank god for studios like grasshopper and platinum. Not that all of their games are the best ever, not to say other studios from japan don't hit it out of the park at times as well, but shit like this is why I have a huge soft spot for japanese games. I need me some strange.

#47 Posted by MooseyMcMan (9737 posts) -
