Killer is Dead
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Aug 01, 2013
Directed by Hideyuki Shin and written by Suda51, Killer is Dead is a third-person action game following fictional assassin, Mondo Zappa.
Trailer!
Looks like every other Suda 51 game. I'm betting this one will also have some great boss battles and a decent soundtrack while the rest of the game is an exercise in tedious gameplay and clunky controls.

Why is Asura's Wrath music playing.
Wow I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the song is licensed and not originally from those 2 games?

Why is the Crocodile music playing.
Ha ! Ha ! I don't think From the New World was composed specifically for specifically for any video game or TV show. It seems to be pretty popular in Japanese media, however I don't think the setting here was nearly epic enough to warrant its use.

FACEPALM.jpg lmao.
This game looks nuts. Maybe I'll finally get on the Suda train and try this one out.
i don't know about the gameplay being shown, but this is a pretty cool trailer. the art style is.. a bit intense, but i don't have any doubts that Grasshopper is going to capitalize on it. i just hope that it'll come bundled with a great game. i was disappointed with Lolipop Chainsaw, but this looks more like NMH / Killer7 which is.. well, i've never played Killer 7 but i'm all for more NMH and assassins.

It's Dvorak's New World Symphony. I'm of the opinion that it enhances anything.

Yeah, I just looked it up and Catherine uses a remix of it. Kinda weird that I didn't notice it since I recently played that. And it's pretty prevalent in other forms of media. DEM PHAT CLASSICAL MUSIC BEATS.
I'm getting a Killer 7 vibe with this game. I hope it's better than his last game Lollipop Chainsaw as I just couldn't get into that game.

I recognized it as being in Catherine despite having played Asura's Wrath last year, but I know it comes on when you fight Augus.
I know next to nothing is known about this yet, but I am beyond excited. Killer7 was one of my favorite games of last gen and this spiritual follow-up seems right up my alley. I'll be hyped to learn more as details come out, but this as with every other Suda game I have a system for, is probably going to be a day 1 buy. :D
Looks super No More Heroes esque, at least more-so than it does Killer 7. Maybe that's just because he has a sword and the camera angle is kind of the same. Curious to see more though.
Dayum gurl.
Really like the look of this game. I thought Lollipop Chainsaw and Shadows of the Damned were OK, nothing amazing or anything. But I just adore the art style in this as well as the design of the main character. He looks like some sort of everyday Japanese stockbroker... Whom I assumed was killed and then somehow came back to life with a nifty cyborg arm.
Anybody here play Flower, Sun and Rain? Because the character in that was called Sumio Mondo, this guy is Mondo Zappa. They both share an interest in black suits as well... Maybe it's just a call-back?
Yes, absolutely.Thank god for studios like grasshopper and platinum. Not that all of their games are the best ever, not to say other studios from japan don't hit it out of the park at times as well, but shit like this is why I have a huge soft spot for japanese games. I need me some strange.
