If two twins have a profile each can Kinect tell them apart? I don't have a twin or anything I'm just curious.

Kinect is a camera and depth sensor-based peripheral for the Xbox 360 that allows users to interact with and play games using their whole bodies, rather than using a standard controller.
Can it identify twins?
" Probably not, unless one of them is fat and the other skinny. "Would be my guess as well.
I would guess It might be able to if there is at least some sort of distinguishable difference like height or something. Otherwise No, it would probably ask you to confirm your profile manually.
I know that may be inappropriate and I apologize to everyone who is offended by this ... but that really made me laugh." what about siamese twins? "
There was a video on inside xbox about this http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/insidexbox?xr=shellnav 3rd vid at the bottom.
"Does this even matter? "
It would if you wanted Kinect and happend to have a twin who played it too.
I say No because the way Kinect works. It relies on many infrared lights in order to get a general idea of the movement you're making. That's why there a minimum distance because it Kinect literally has a blind spot. Kinect is basically a fancy infrared detector no different then the infrared detectors security companies use.
