Kirkwall is the city state and the main setting of Dragon Age II. Over the decade the game takes place in, it will show how Hawke became the champion of Kirkwall.

A city state in the Free Marches, an area north of Ferelden.  Kirkwall is one of the most densely populated areas in the Free Marches. Hawke will become known as the Champion of Kirkwall. This city will be the central location in Dragon Age II.
