on Amazon.com if you have a Kindle or use a Kindle app here

Here's a small description of the book:

Rockstar Games has partnered with Mulholland Books to publish a collection of short fiction expanding the world of the newest groundbreaking achievement in storytelling: the interactive crime thriller L.A. Noire.

1940s Hollywood, murder, deception and mystery take center stage as readers reintroduce themselves to characters seen in L.A. Noire. Explore the lives of actresses desperate for the Hollywood spotlight; heroes turned defeated men; and classic Noir villains. Readers will come across not only familiar faces, but familiar cases from the game that take on a new spin to tell the tales of emotionally torn protagonists, depraved schemers and their ill-fated victims.

With original short fiction by Megan Abbott, Lawrence Block, Joe Lansdale, Joyce Carol Oates, Francine Prose, Jonathan Santlofer, Duane Swierczynski and Andrew Vachss, L.A. Noire: The Collected Stories breathes new life into a time-honored American tradition, in an exciting anthology that will appeal to fans of suspense and gamers everywhere.

Being a Kindle owner myself and follow this man's blog that posts about the most recent free books Amazon has to offer, I'm pretty stoked to read some middling fiction. I've read some video game books before and I don't think they're mind blowing but I have the same mindset Vinny has where, if I really enjoy a game, I need to read its books even though I really don't need to.

Edit: Release date is June 6th, so it's very soon you'll have a (digital) copy.

Absolutely no idea. Usually there's a little module underneath the price that shows you in what forms in comes in, but it isn't there.

Damn, I wish I had a Kindle, I'd order a paper copy of this.

Edit: I'm an idiot, didn't realize I could just read it right on PC or my phone

@Barrock: Haha yeah. I'll gladly take it but I'm not sure if I would bother reading it.
There's a lot of books made after games are released, I find the best ones are written and released before and games are based around them. They usually get less than decent writers to write up their ideas into novels and they end up pretty bad.

Basically I'm saying - Not sure if read.
Edit: I'll probably take a look at the digital copy when it's released though.

These are a bit different. Basically they went to the authors and said "Hey can you write a short story that takes place in 1940's LA?" and they did. Although I think a few feature actual characters, I'm not sure.

I'll pick it up, for the Joe R. Lansdale story. Bubba Ho-Tep was hilarious, I'd love to see him rip into the pulp noire of the 40s and 50s.
