    When you start a new case and it opens with the murder happening, do we actually need to see that because for me  im making assumptions and second guessing the evidence especially with the women getting hit by the car i knew the make and model before it was even told

    I think it's good they show you the murder, or at least part of it. It separates the player from the character, and having known certain aspects of the murder still leaves the challenge of having to investigate and find that evidence at the murder scene or around town.

    I think it's a really engaging way of handling the cases, it makes them a lot more puzzle like.

    Also it's the generic thing to do, so yeah.

    oh i agree its very well done like a  columbo episode i was just thinking on shouldn't we see as much as cole see's but i see your points of making it a challenge to find the evidence

    @BalrogsBain:  The show the crime in full before the case starts aspect of the ace attorney series is my least favorite aspect of it.  I feel like it's sort of insulting my intelligence and assumes it's way too hard for my simple monkey brain to figure out without the help of the benevolent creator.  So no, I'd rather we not see the murders in advance.  I like sleuthin' it up, '47 style.
