Noir is a genre that I enjoy very much. Hard boiled detectives solving crimes with the cut of their jib, while chasing dames that have legs from here to Walla Walla. So a 40's cop is pretty noir. However noir doesn't have an e at the end. Does anyone know why this is the case? Do they just want to be special? What do you guys think of noir in general? Any favorite examples? The Sam and Max games actually scratch that itch a bit, but jokingly. Are there any other games that do it? I feel that this game will try to be more realistic then the old detective stories and doesn't seem to have the same language. Of all the forums this game had to walk into it had to walk into mine.

Noir is French for black. Noire is the feminine pronunciation I believe.
