there are some similar ideas and content which game will be the most fun though?
LittleBigPlanet
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Oct 27, 2008
Lead the way as a player-created Sackperson in the highly customizable side-scrolling world of LittleBigPlanet, where players can play, create, and share 2.5D levels with their friends and the whole PSN community.
Little Big Planet Vs. Spore?
Spore most likely, but both look set to deliver the user-generated and integrated experience everyone is lapping up. Spore will indefinitely sell more though, as I'm sure everyone who's played The Sims will be queueing up to buy it on release. All the PS3's in the world couldn't compete with that =P
Spore looks like a game you could lose yourself for hours in
Creating creatures and ruling the galaxy is best described as pure win
Littlebigplanet looks brilliant too, the multiplayer creation and 'co-ompetition' means fun on the bun
Both deserve respect for trying to empower anyone and everyone into creating something for the game
Two very different but very good ideas. I simply don't feel right in comparing them.
Little Big Planet focuses on creating levels and customizing your sackboy or girls. It seems to be very deep and very detailed but it doesnt have the appeal of a Spore nor does it have the luxury of being on the biggest platform in the world the PC.
Think about this. when you log into spore for the first time every creature you encounter will be created by someone from the community. You can check the evolution of your creature from the sporepedia. You'll be able to visit the galaxy's and planets of your friends. This list could go on and on, but in a nutshell the very essence of spore is that every creature you come in contact with will have been created by someone just like you and that's huge in refrence to community gaming.
At this point I can't really tell. Both look equally awesome, but I foresee LBP having more appeal to the masses, maybe more so because it's on a console. But then again like HipHopHitler said up there, perhaps the majority of Sims players will flock to Spore. I just know that I plan to get both. :)
In my opinion, LBP looks more fun, because of the multiplayer aspect. Jumping around a level on a hand made tank for skateboard with 3 other dudes? AWESOME.
And in terms of creativity, I think its really hard to tell. Spore is on the PC which is a creative bumch, but LBP has more creation options, whereas Spore is just creatures. We shall see.
I think Spore will have greater longevity whilst LBP will have a quick start thanks to the legions of PS3 fanboys getting a bit over excited.
I will definitely get both games, I see spore being the better game because Will Wright is behind it and that dude is crazy.
I really don't care. I'm going to play both. I think im going to play Spore first and finish the story mode, than play LBP forever.
Totally different styles of play, but I would still have too choose LBP (just my taste). But man does Spore look amazing.
I think Spore will sell more because there are more PC owners and it will also come to the Wii and DS. and LBP is an exclusive.
From what I've seen of both games, I like LBP more.
its hard to compare the two... one is a mega editing tool the other is make something and watch it grow like a sea-monkey!!! im excited for both but i'll choose...LittleBigPlanet cause COME ON...Sony fanboy here!
Little Big Planet has my interest over SPORE. I will probably get both but LBP will suck up most of my time i am sure.

I agree, I still want both but LBP just has me more.
