To Bioware: Yes!
That is all.

That looks like a lot of money spent on cheesy, unconvincing special effects. District 9 this is not. I hope all future Mass Effect 3 trailers stick with actual gameplay.
Yeah, that seemed like the promo team was given 10 seconds of cutscene to work with and had to turn it into a trailer. And why would there still be different languages on Earth when everyone appears to speak English now?
What a ridiculous trailer. Poorly produced with cheesy acting and it doesn't fit the Mass Effect aesthetic at all.
Also, I don't see the battle for Earth as the outcome of everything Shepard has been doing for the past two games. Wasn't the thing about the Reapers that they weren't concerned with any particular planet but that they were out to harvest and wipe out all intelligent life in the known galaxy? Earth is a small planet. What the fuck.
Man if they got that model guy who looks like Shepard for the trailer (not even talking, just there) that would have been awesome.
They didn't create this deep and classy universe to end up using such crappy music for their trailers ! Jack Wall, come back ! We need you !

Well, if you've played ME2...
You'll know that the Reapers are harvesting humans to create their own Reaper version of the species. Earth seems to be the place to get humans, if you ask me. Sure, in the end, they'll wipe out all sentient life in the universe... but first they have to get those delicious humans :P

Looks cool. But I thought Reapers were bigger.
Me too. They seem about the size of a sky scraper, but Sovereign was fucking huge when he clamped down on that tower inside the Citadel, which is also fucking huge. Weird.
There's always a bigger reaper.
Wow. The CG for those humans was so realistic, I couldn't even tell they weren't real!
...
It's time for Shepard to find the MacGuffin that will magically infect the entire Reaper network and shut them all down simultaneously (an ancient Prothean computer virus? Probably!). Game ends with humanity rebuilding Earth, more unified then ever.
Renegade ending has humans as isolationist but strong in purpose. Paragon ending has humans reaching out to aliens for help with reconstruction. The choice won't matter because the next Mass Effect game will take place years later where both isolationist and alien-friendly factions are again at equilibrium.
Fade to black. Roll credits.

Of course, but don't you think that's such a minor thing in grand scheme of things? This being the concluding chapter of the Shepard trilogy and all?
I hope they don't make ME3 about coming to earth's rescue; that would reduce the scale of things even further (ME2 already having reduced the scale compared to ME1).
EDIT: wait, how do I retain your spoiler thingy when quoting you?
The battle for Earth is not the outcome. Earth being taken is one of the first things in the game, and they are still trying to destroy all sentient life... Your mission will be to stop them and take it back. Also, I don't see the battle for Earth as the outcome of everything Shepard has been doing for the past two games. And in the gameplay trailers all it took to take down one was a couple of ion cannon shots? A little nerfed perhaps? ;P I suppose they'll explain through it hierarchy and how some Reapers are tougher than others. Sovereign being the lone Reaper left behind to keep an eye out would make sense to be like a near indestructible squid-Hulk, but then again you'd also think they'd of wanted to have one of the smaller Reapers to hand back for better stealth purposes.@csl316 said:

How do you know this? Where is this info?
Also, humans being a bigger target because of Sovereign doesn't make any sense. This is nothing new of course, it didn't make sense in ME2 as well.
The thing I hated about ME2 was how the Reapers, by proxy of Harbinger, were reduced to whiny, petty creatures. Harbinger was such a departure from the far more alien sounding Sovereign.
Remember the all in-engine E3 trailer for ME2?
Or perhaps the cinematic teaser for ME2?
Yeah, how about more of that? You know, trailers that either show something meaningful or are just very well produced.
