looks better this way. the old max payne was looking a little too dapper for a man totally losing his mind and getting into a firefight with mobsters every 10 minutes.

I'm going to be the Devil's advocate here and say I'm curious and diggin' it.  He looks broken down and beaten...

Did you really think that he would still have the colorful shirt and leather jacket. Come on. And that is what someone would look like after all of what he went though. This is obviously several years later.

Let me guess. 6 years is way to early to be making another Max Payne game, and you want more free DLC for Max Payne 2 for the Xbox.

I have no idea what to the think about this.

EDIT: Actually, you know what, this is awesome and exactly why I love Rockstar. Who else could this ultimate slow-mo dual wielding bad ass like Max Payne and make him fucking bald?

Max Payne 3: Too Many Burritos

I'm a huge Max Payne fan and have to say that the image on the cover looks awesome.  What, did you want the same Max Payne in NY again?  Why would he stay and why wouldn't he plummet to the bottom after 2?  The game is called the Fall of Max Payne.  This completely makes sense.

EDIT: Also, very useful "blog".  Lots of interesting commentary you couldn't have put in the other threads.

I'm all for having a "blog" about something if you want to unwind your personal grievances against a piece of concept art. But this really isn't a blog post...its pretty much what the first thread was (the picture) and a general "WTF?"

Sorry mate, but this really just looks like you're abusing the system. Why not regale us with whats wrong with the picture, more than just posting it, then point out that really its okay because its a blog post.

I should stop having hope that Max Payne 3 will be a Max Payne game. 
 
I don't think it will be a bad game.  In fact, I really respect Rockstar for their quality and track record, and I think that Max Payne 3 will be very fun in it's own way (even if it's essentially an Uncharted clone at this point).  I just don't think it will be a Max Payne game.

Max Payne 3: Guns of the Patriots

Man, they fucked this up.  Maybe the game itself will be good, but the feeling, the tone, the Max Payne we love, is gone.  I wish they would remake the first game with better graphics and physics.  Not this crap.  Take off the beard and this could basically be Die Hard the game.  Now I love John McClain, but seriously.  Max Payne is a badass new york cop.  He should not be going to South America.  It makes the series loose sight of what made the atmosphere great.  Especially with shooters and stuff going to the jungles, it makes me miss a normal urban romp killing druggies and hookers.
