Changing the way we think of games today.
It seems that at any time during the year there is some massive hype for a game. People say that this game will ‘change how we think about video games’ and is ‘the best yet.’ This sets a standard that, at release, the game often falls short at. I am glad to report that Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4) does not fall short of any expectation that was place upon it. ‘The best is yet to come’ was an understatement in MGS for the playstation console. MGS4 wraps up every single obscure plotline and answers any question a player might have had while playing this series. No stone is left unturned and every character comes back to play their part (and in a big way).
Now, I know what you are saying “lol BT that is exactly why this game fails. Too much talking, not enough good gameplay.” Well, when it comes to gameplay MGS4 , unlike its previous counterparts, delivers a high degree of heart pounding sneaking mission coupled with just the right about of heavy up-in-your-face action. The game is more like an interactive movie than a traditional game but in that sense it succeeds. This game is well worth the $60 that you may pay for it and defiantly well worth a trip back in time to play 1, 2 and 3 just to make sure you have to whole story.
