A fighting game concept in which a player using a particular character can fight against either the CPU or another player using the same character.
Some creatures have three or more arms, making them able to do more tasks at the same time than ones who only have two or less.
Using gestures with the controller to control on-screen actions. Alternatively, these gestures can also be detected by motion-sensing cameras.
A fighting area that possess multiple locations, which can be gained by one player striking the other at specific locations with a powerful move. Parrying is a specialized block mechanic, often with a tight input window, which prevents the player from taking damage. While some games allow this through a timed directional input towards the opponent, other games tie this to deliberate block inputs as a "Perfect Guard".

Examples: Lizalfos (Zelda), Lizardmen (Warhammer) & Argonians (The Elder Scrolls) They generally walk upright like any other humanoid and sport some kind of tail.
Characters that are designed to be scantily-clad.
A ring out occurs when a character leaves a stage (mostly due to falling off stage because of being forced by opponent or bad timing) and automatically loses round/match. This is a common concept in fighting games.
