Hey guys, So I'm not the best MK player, but which movement control do you prefer in fighting games? Out of comfort, and as a throwback ot the SNES, I use the D-Pad. What do you guys think?

One of the goriest fighting game franchises returns to its roots, introducing a new story that re-tells the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games (with a unique twist).
Do you use the D-Pad, the Joystick, or a Fight Stick?
I generally, go d-pad because the last time I played an MK game was the PS1. Also after playing the demo I just prefer the d-pad because its easier to pull off moves.
D-pad haven't been able to play the demo because I have a 360. I have never played MK on a stick I wish I had a stick for SF though...
I use a stick for street fighter but a D-pad seems fine for MK. There aren't any quarter circle or dragon punch motions it's mostly stuff like; down, down, back, punch. So I think it will be easier to play this on a pad then street fighter.
I cant stand using either the xbox 360 d-pad or the ps3's so i have the TE fight stick coming and if that doesnt work out then ill use joystick.
I ussually use the d-pad but I have the tournament edition on preorder so Ill be usin the fight stick from now on
Still have one of the Blanka themed gamepads from SF & as the demo hasn't hit the 360 as far as I know, I'll try that out first then the normal 360 controller. Depending on the prices & availability of the stick I might consider it but just depends on how well the other two work out while playing it.
"If you're a pad player, you really can't get any better then the SNES pad....it's the best ever imoHey guys, So I'm not the best MK player, but which movement control do you prefer in fighting games? Out of comfort, and as a throwback ot the SNES, I use the D-Pad. What do you guys think?

I always try to use the D-Pad for fighting games because on the Joystick I just find it impossible, but I got the demo on the PS3 and I love the joypad on that, unfortunatly I'm getting MK on the 360 because its what the majority of my friends play on...
Used my SFIV TE stick with the MK demo on PS3, worked pretty well. But i would say using the Dpad for that game would be equally as good.
Dpad. If I used the Joystick I always end up jumping more than I should. If I could I would use a Stick, but a Dpad is good enough for me. Plus it's easier on me because of my Nintendo and Sega games of playing the classic MK games.
