One of the goriest fighting game franchises returns to its roots, introducing a new story that re-tells the events of the first three Mortal Kombat games (with a unique twist).
I can't wait. Pretty curious to know who the last character is and if these DLC characters have an alternate costume included. I also hope they release Sub-Zero's costume from MK Deception (kinda doubt it thou since he already has 3).
Rain was a terrible character.. a joke that never needed to return. Even Ed Boon didn't like him, but I guess fan pressure made him cave. It looks like he's at least being redesigned. Very happy about the free costumes though, that goes some way to making up for screwing us over with the ninja's and I'm looking forward to Kenshi.
I wouldn't be surprised if the final character is someone from MK4, to build up to a sequel a little more.. Probably Kai or Fujin.
@Rufi91: I'm hoping the silhouette is just a generic silhouette and has nothing to do with the actual character, because I want Tanya!!! Besides, that silhouette does look very generic, they're probably undecided.
Unless it's Jarek or Kai, I'm guessing they just used a generic model.. If they used a proper silhouette, people would have figured it out in seconds. Boon did say in interviews that all these guys would be getting released in a matter of weeks, so I doubt they're undecided, they probably do just want to keep it secret.

Yeah thats probably it that they used a generic one to keep it secret...I still want it to be Tanya.... or Reiko I guess...Fujin was also a rumor and Ed denied it, but who knows...
I can pretty much guarantee that the 4th DLC kharacter is going to be Tanya, as she is tied up in Shao Kahn's arena when you play as Kitana on the level. She's just on the other side of Skarlett.
Take a look just at the 35 second mark of the video, then again Li Mei is at the 50 second mark, so who knows?
@Bobby_The_Great: but other charcters make cameos in the background too like Reiko/Sareena/Frost/etc... but i'm still keeping my fingers crossed for Tanya!

If the silhouette is hinting at an existing character, I only see it being either Jerek or *gulp* Mokap (they'd be crazy to put any effort into Mokap. Though, they are crazy). Anyway, I think it's not indicative of anything. My monies are on someone altogether new.

Wasn't there a thing where someone hacked the data files and found a generic model that the announcer called Fujin? That's one less asset they have to generate if he's the 4th DLC character.
Skarlett looks... ok. I dunno. At some point you realize exactly how lazy a lot of the character design is in MK, even though they've gotten past basic pallet swaps. She's a lady ninja, like all the other lady ninjas! Except she's red and she stabs you!
@ArbitraryWater: While the character design leaves a lot to be desired, at least MK as come a long way in making all the characters play substantially different. What has me a little worried is that she kind of looks like a mix of Kitana and Scorpion.
I'm also wondering how they will handle Rain's lightning strike since Nightwolf has that exact move.
@SoldierG654342: There will be free compatibility packs released with each DLC character (allowing you to fight those characters if you don't purchase them) that includes two skins. The Cryax and Sektor skins will come with Skarlet and her compatibility pack for free.

I don't see them doing Tanya, she doesn't really seem big enough for the final character, especially considering they're doing this mystery reveal thing. I'd still bet on Fujin. He has assets in the game and is important enough to be a sort of build up for the inevitable sequel.

Tanya is just evil. She's not made to be evil like Mileena, she's more cold and calculating, she doesnt need Baraka blood in her body to make her psycho, she just is. She betrays everyone for personal gain, she betrays Liu Kang, she betrays Onaga, everyone lol
@SoldierG654342: Yeah What SMTDante said, moreover, this explains why I can't use klassic costumes during certain matches online, because they didn't buy it....so i couldnt use it either, but the compatibility patch will fix that and give two free costumes lol

But seriously Skarlett looks cool and free costumes are good. I hope that we get Frost at some point but Cyber Sub Zero already covers the fast ice user role.

I wonder if Rain is gonna have his teleporting roundhouse and controllable forceball thing... He kind a has to. It's really his defining moves... But they're just so crazy.
Can't even remember what Tanya's signature moves is. Didn't really play MK4 and have pretty much ignored her in later releases.
