Trivia
Mother 1 is commonly nicknamed Earthbound Zero by the English-speaking fan community, although that isn't the game's official English name. What's the story behind that alias?
- It was a prank by some hackers who claimed to have found lost data in the game.
- Zero is less than one and is thusly named such because fans think it isn't as good as the SNES game.
- It was a joke which circulated in fan sites which supposed the amount of time Nintendo took to release the game.
- The name was changed to avoid continuity issues since the NES and SNES installments have the same name.
- There is no story. That's just how it is.
