    Overview

Sometimes games will use two separate engines as one engine may not perform the particular game play task as the other. For example, a developer may choose a game engine commonly used for first person shooters, but use a racing game engine to do the car racing sequences in the game. James Bond: Nightfire used the Goldsource engine for the first person shooter parts of the game, and the Need For Speed engine for the car racing sections.
