NJ in Videogames
New Jersey gets represented in videogame via its one major sports teams, the New Jersey Devils (hockey). New Jersey also houses the MetLife Stadium, which is home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets. MetLife was home to the 48th Super Bowl in 2014. New Jersey was also the former home of the New Jersey Nets, who moved to Brooklyn in 2012.
New Jersey is the first level in Tony Hawk's Underground.
The state of Alderney in Grand Theft Auto IV is based on New Jersey, specifically Hudson county, Bergen county, Union county, Jersey City, and Newark. GTA III's Shoreside Vale is also based loosely on New Jersey.

- New Jersey hosted more Revolutionary War battles than any other state.
- The only state to have two Colonial Colleges (colleges founded before the signing of the Declaration of Independence). They are Princeton University and Rutgers University. Rutgers is one of two Colonial Colleges to be made a public university.
- FM radio, the postcard, the zipper, and the light bulb were all invented in New Jersey.
- New Jersey is the only US state without a state song.
- New Jersey has the second highest Italian-American population in the US, and is one of four states to have Italian as the primary ancestry.
