    Best Hockey game ever? Close...

I was a huge fan of the EA NHL series for awhile, from 94 - 2004 i had played EA's hockey sim like a bad habit, in 2005 i picked up ESPN NHL2K5 for my PS2 since it was only 20$ and fell in love with the 2K series, which was a very short love.

fast forward to 2009 and NHL09 vs 2K9 (after reading, watching, and playing the demo's of each game, I realized that 2K was going in a direction I did not like, so i picked up NHL09 after a brief EA Sports hiatus, and I was not disappointed.

now with NHL10, they have improved on much of the game play, added board pinning, and turned an already outstanding game in NHL09 to and even better one in NHL10. Graphics got a little better, the crowed actually reacts to things (and there are women in there) tons of new player animations and tighter controls make this game a must pick up for any hockey fan. Even if you're now to into it, you should at least give it a try, EASports Vancouver did a fantastic job on this.

So does NHL 10 match up to the leap between 08 and 09?  Be A Pro returns this year with the outstanding addition of the prospect game before the NHL Entry Draft. Last year, simulating being drafted meant closing your eyes while rapidly cycling through the team list and pressing A to get picked by a rand...

Strong, yet imperfect iteration of EA's annual NHL franchise. 0

NHL 10 is probably the best hockey game ever made.  However, I can't give it five stars. I've spent a lot of time with this game (I went to the midnight release of it and it has barely left my 360 since) and didn't want to write a review that was at all hasty and I think I'm familiar enough with it to say this: I love this game.  Ever since NHL 07, I've wondered how EA could top their current title with the next year's iteration and they somehow have always pleasantly surprised me with a quality...
