Yeah, I'm going to say that old game revivals are kind of worthless and Nintendo's development umbrella has such amazingly creative people that I really want to see Nintendo start pumping out new stuff.
But if I have to take a re-imagining...
Gargoyles Quest was a pretty awesome side-scrolling platformer for the Gameboy that apparently had a couple of sequels (I had no idea), but could make for an interesting revival.
I'd also like to see them make a new Donkey Kong game in the style of the Gameboy title. I'm sure I've mentioned this on the site before... and also mentioned that the "spirtual successors" of the Minis games aren't remotely the same.
When we inevitably see a new Castlevania title (astounds me we haven't heard anything on the 3DS front), I want it to be in the style of Castlevania 3 and no more of this Metroidvania, "we've done this a million times and none of them actually compare to Symphony of the Night" crap. Although I do love the Sorrow series to death (and played them before playing Symphony), I'm just sick of that formula. No, not even Order of Ecclasia counts. It was kind of a hybrid of the two styles, and I think it failed on both ends. Not popular opinion, I know... a lot of people adored that game. I didn't.
