    Hrm, i guess I'm the only one curious as to what Nintendo will be giving platinum members. Lets look at some of the stuff they've given away in the Japanese club nintendo:

    • Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack
      SMG Soundtrack
      SMG Soundtrack
    • TV remote shaped like a Wii Remote
      TV Wiimote
      TV Wiimote
    • Tingles Balloon Fight
      Tingles Balloon Fight

    • alternate retro controllers

    I'd take Exclamation Warriors myself, though i doubt the American gift will be any of these things. Hell, we might not even get anything worthwhile

    I will have to register with the Australian version - I assume I have many games to register, but to be honest, I have no idea how.  I assume you go to their website - and do what?

    In America we register our games and fill out surveys for points. The game itself is about how much it was worth in dollars (30 dollars = 30 points) and surveys added another 10 points. Gold Membership was 300 points, and Platinum was 600. Im a Platinum

    It's odd that more games don't give you points. Seems like mostly first-party titles. I never hit that Platinum mark because of that.

    Anywho, it's probably crap, but I already got my Animal Crossing cards, so I'm okay with that.

    I'm definitely at gold, but platinum is way out of my reach.  Meh, Club Nintendo in America is pretty weak at this time.

    The gifts you can get with your coins are weak, but this end-of-term gift might be cool. If it isnt i wont bother with club nintendo anymore, but one can dream right?

    We already have the SMG soundtrack, but I want all the rest on the European Club Nintendo soon. I would love Tingle's Balloon Fight and all the Game & Watch games also.

    Yeah, thats the stuff that you can use your points on, but The stuff I listed is all stuff that Japanese Club Nintendo platinum members got for free at the end of their terms

    It only has three of the Game & Watch games, and they aren't even revamped with touch screen controls or updated graphics. The only reason to get it would be for collecting purposes.

    It ended today, with them resetting everyone's status. They didn't mention what would be given out to Gold/Platinum users but said they would do so by the end of July. I personally have 4 accounts that achieved Platinum status, so I hope it's something worth while.

    I reach platinum months before hand.  I am definitely going to spend my coins this year around.  Coins only last you two "Nintendo years".  I hope to see what is next.

    I didn't make platinum status, I was 60 coins short.  I only made gold due to having quite a few games that "transferred" when they started the program here in the U.S.

    Also, they limit the time period you can get points for a game.  They want you to buy the new stuff.  I say this, because the most recent game with an unused code I bought was Yoshi Topsy-Turvy for GBA (within the last week).  I got the message that it was ineligible for earning coins.

    I feel your pain, I had a bunch of Gamecube games that weren't even close to eligable, but oh well. Did you max out the questionaires too? Because if not, you could have gotten the required 60 points (too late now)

    Absolutely, I did.

    I've been thinking on this a bit too.  How many games does Nintendo publish during a year?  If they leave it at 600 coins for platinum status, you'll have to buy 12 Nintendo games (estimating 50 coins per game) to qualify.  I think from here on out, it's gonna be for the hardcore Nintendo fan only.

    Yeah I made it cause  had a backlog of Wii and DS games to register, also the DSi I bought gave me like 160 coins which is what actually
    pushed me up to platinum.  From nopw on its definitly for the serious hardcore audience, most other poeple probably dont even know it exists.
