The Nintendo DS is a handheld featuring two screens, one of which is a resistive touchscreen. Four different models are available: the original DS, the DS Lite, the DSi, the DSi XL.
Looks pretty awesome, I still haven't played one of their games, this might be the first. I'm not digging the name of it though. It looks a lot like Mario Sunshine, which isn't a bad thing.
It does indeed seem very Sunshine like, I suppose most people will think the same when they first see it. As you say, it's no bad thing at all, although, I am expecting a lot more form this game other than this water shooting mechanic.
Renegade Kid make good games on DS, I expect this one to follow suit. The game engine they've used since Dementium keeps improving with every game. If yiou are to try out any of their games, Moon is well worth playing.
Renegade Kid's lead developer is a fellow Brit, he has a video blog here which I like to watch reguarly. I always find his take on things fascinating, he gives a good insight into the industry.
I would say it all comes down to the skill of the developer. They do have the most accomplished 3D game engine on the machine, and they have used it in more taxing games before.

I agree. Nothing is good when we use bad or average games as a baseline.
I am also NOT digging the name. It sounds awful. I have no doubt the game will be good though.
