Bowser is one of the most iconic villains in gaming. His role as the main antagonist in the Mario franchise has cemented this King of Koopas' status in video game history.
Diddy Kong made his first appearance in 1994 as Donkey Kong's side-kick in Donkey Kong Country for the SNES. Since then, he has starred in numerous Donkey Kong games, his own Diddy Kong Racing games and Mario sports titles. He wears a red Nintendo hat.
The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Mr. Bright is a recurring boss in the Kirby series. This sun-like baddie is often accompanied by the moon-shaped Mr. Shine.
Sakura is a playable character from Fire Emblem Fates. Despite her shyness and her being the youngest princess of Hoshidan royalty, she aids her kingdom as an adept Shrine Maiden.
Samus Aran is the protagonist of the Metroid series. As a bounty hunter, she uses her armored power suit to hunt space pirates and other dangerous forces. She frequently crosses paths with dangerous creatures called Metroids in her adventures.
Wario is Mario's rival and doppelganger; a crude garlic-loving brute with an obsession with treasure. Wario's name is a portmanteau of the word "warui" ('bad' in Japanese) "Mario".
Zelda is the titular figure of The Legend of Zelda. She is most often depicted as the princess of Hyrule.
Mr. Shine is a recurring boss in the Kirby series. He is shaped like a crescent moon and is always accompanied by Mr. Bright.
The generic character featured in Nintendo's first hand-held games and a playable character in the Super Smash Bros. game series.
Mario's original girlfriend back in Donkey Kong. We're guessing it didn't work out.
Mike is a karaoke robot designed by Dr. Crygor. He held a karaoke tournament on a space bunny planet once.

Impa is the caretaker of Princess Zelda and a member of the Sheikah race. Like Link and Zelda, Impa has appeared in numerous incarnations throughout the Zelda timeline.
Queen of the Zora in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. For coming to her aid, she presents Link with a pair of flippers he can use to swim.
Elise is a playable character from Fire Emblem Fates. The youngest of the Nohrian royal siblings, and a healer.
Meta Knight is a mysterious masked swordsman who often challenges Kirby to test his strength.
The annoying character, introduced in Animal Crossing that lectures you on the use of reset and/or time changes to benefit from time based events.
One of the most iconic characters in the Metroid series. He is the Space Pirate general, and a recurring boss in the series. Ridley is Samus's arch-nemesis, and killed her parents when she was very young.
King Dedede is the self-made king of Dream Land and Kirby's friendly rival who has appeared in many games.
Toadette is Toad's female counterpart and most commonly appears the various Mario spin-off games, such as the Mario Party and Mario Kart games.
A very young female ninja who is the twin sister of Ana, and also quite bossy.
Chameleo Arm is a boss character in Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra, that reappeared for a cameo as a keychain in Kirby: Triple Deluxe.
Camilla is a playable character in Fire Emblem Fates. She is the second eldest child of the Nohr royal family.
Popo and Nana, the mallet-swinging, eggplant-loving eskimos from the Ice Climber series.
Lakitu has appeared in a variety of Mario games; from Super Mario Bros on the NES right up to Mario Kart 7. He is responsible for dropping Spinies onto the levels below, holding up signs and his very own start signal from all nine Mario Kart games.
The Toad is a member of the Toad species. He is a loyal attendant of Princess Peach and often assists Mario on his journeys in a variety of ways.
As the main antagonist of the US version of Super Mario Bros. 2, Wart is the final boss in the game. He was also featured in Doki Doki Panic as Mamu, on which the Super Mario Bros. 2 is based.
Poochy is Yoshi's canine pal and he happily carries Yoshi and Baby Mario on his back across lava and spikes in Yoshi's Island. He was also one of the bosses in Tetris Attack, having been brainwashed by Bowser and Kamek.
Bowser Jr. is the son of Bowser and the main antagonist of Super Mario Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros. He loves to play sports with his dad in various Mario sport titles like tennis, golf, basketball and kart racing!
