This Wii Exclusive is Warren Spector's newest project, working from Junction Point Studios
" We've since been told that it's a Wii-exclusive where you paint your way through levels using the Wii Remote. This 'painting your way' involves you drawing, etching and erasing whole or parts of levels as you go. Capcom's Okami immediately springs to mind but we've not got enough info to go on to make any kind of informed judgement."
Here's some of the concept art for the game. Looks interesting to say the least.
Nintendo
Company »
Nintendo was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1889 as a manufacturer of hanafuda playing cards. The company went through several small niche businesses before becoming a video game company.
New information on Epic Mickey
mmmmm the pics look interesting. I wonder what kind of gameplay its going to be. Too bad I don't use my Wii.
" @LiquidPrince said:I assume Disney is aware?" Why is there Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Goofy in deformed stages in those images? "The primary antagonist is apparently one of Disney's older villians, the Phantom Inkblot, who deforms existing characters and reconstructs them with mechanical components. "

" Indeed, the concept art definitely ''intrigues me''. Anyone else notice that winnie the pooh has a robotic dick lol? xD It just adds to the awkwardness that Piglet is right below him. "Also look at Goofy's right leg- is that Donald Duck's bill he's using as a foot?
" @LiquidPrince said:Well, when you think about it, one of disney's oldest characters, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (or something), was originally the Mickey Mouse before Mickey came along, but then some shit went down, and thus Mickey was created, and the rest is history." You'd think he'd be mad at mickey for taking what could've been his fame, since the plot has to do with old disney characters, ones that aren't as much in the spotlight, going after mickey because of his popularity.
But hey, Phantom Blot would do well, maybe that gargoyle/demon thing from Fantasia? Or how about all 3? Now imagine THAT
" @LiquidPrince said:Yeah I noticed, but Piglet's is a more obvious phallic symbol..." On a side note, why does Piglet have a penis? "Pooh has one too, except it's some kind of plastic tube strapped on to him. "
I'm not really buying that this is a real thing at all, that Disney would let this exist in the first place. But even accepting for a moment that the initial concept art was genuine, the new picture with Pooh and Piglet is clearly not even in the same style as the other pics, and it's the only one in colour. Even if (and this is a really, really big if) Epic Mickey really exists, I'd be willing to bet that the Pooh picture there is just something someone found on Deviant Art or something and threw in with the other pictures because it fit the fucked-up Disney motif.
Well, this is taken from Junction Point's site:
And the link for the concept art goes back to Fred Gambino's pageBoy, do we wish we could talk about what we're working on. Soon… Soon…
To quote Warren: "When we DO announce what we're doing, half the world's going to think we're crazy and half the world's going to think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread–how great is that?!"
Oh, and for all of you who've tried to guess what we're doing, you've been partly right and all wrong… (We're enjoying this way too much!)
