Pale Cachexia

Overview

Pale Cachexia is a kinetic visual novel (as in, does not feature branches in the storyline or other forms of interactivity) that follows the characters Esther and Seina as they meet and gradually grow closer. It features a UI typical of the genre that allows players to revisit the last few lines of dialogue or set the game's script to auto-play rather than wait for a player prompt.

Former student Esther gets lost in the woods looking for the mansion of a reclusive scientist Isaiah who once shared her condition, the titular Pale Cachexia which slowly drains the victim's vitality, and instead finds it abandoned but for a young woman named Seina. The daughter of the now-deceased Isaiah, the lonely Seira lets Esther stay as long as she likes to pore over her father's notes and research, but neither are prepared for the secrets Isaiah uncovered.
