    Paper was never this Fun

Paper Mario is a turned based RPG starring your favorite plumber, Mario.

Story: Paper Mario's story is as follows: Bowser steals the star rod (star rod? from Kirby?!) from star haven because the star spirits wouldn't grant any of his wishes. Somehow he gets his castle directly under Peach's, (just go with it) defeats Mario, (with the help of the star rod) and raises it up into space. Mario awakens to a voice telling him to go to shooting star summit, when he gets there he learns he must rescue the star spirits imprisoned by bowser and... that't all i can tell you.

Gameplay: Paper Mario is a RPG there's an overworld, and battle sequnces. In the overworld, you solve puzzles, move around, and advance the story further. In the battle sequences, you defeat enemises to gain Star points (or EXP) to loevel up. Mario has 2 different general moves: Jump and Hammer. He earns upgrades to these called badges. Badges also do many other things to, though. They can make mario invincible when he jumps on enimies who have spikes, or make enimies more likely to miss when you're in danger, etc. Mario also has partners. Partners are people who help Mario on his adventure. There are 8 partners in all and all of them have a special ability. The kind of life in this game is called HP (heart points) you start out with 10 HP and throughout thev game when you level up you can choose to increase that number by five or your FP (flower points) by 5 OR your BP (badge points) by 3. Flower poins are the points that allow you to use your badge moves, you star out with 5. Badge Points are points that limit you to how many badges you can equip at one time. When you level Up you get to chose which one you want to increase, but choose wisely. The battle system is cool. When you attack an enemy, you do a specific thing with the controller to make your attack stronger. This was a veeeeery clever idea.

Graphics: The Graphics are great all the people are made out of paper, but the enviroment is fully 3-D. This works out really well and gives a huge uniqueness to the game.

Controls: I don't really know about the controls some times the buttons don't respond and it screws me up in battle. But other than that, yeah.

Music: Paper Mario's Music is AMAZING!!! the tunes are stuck in my head feo a long period of time before they just become a bunch of sounds I can't put together. Every place has it's own song that fits it very well. Some places actually seem kind of scary when it has a scary tune.

Overll this game is fickin amazing. GET IT NOW!!!! (unless you don't want to)

An amazing RPG experience on the Nintendo 64 0

Paper Mario is the second Mario RPG to be released. The first, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, was released back in 1996 for the SNES, and it was an amazing game. It strayed away from the platforming that Mario is known best for. To go to an RPG type of gamplay and stay true to Mario is amazing. Square helped develop the game, so it's no surprise that it was great.Paper Mario was developed by Intelligent Systems, and the gameplay is very different from the SNES counterpart, as well ...

      Paper Mario Review 0

Preconceived notions of kiddie aesthetics aside, Paper Mario is one of the best games of its generation. With its pleasant appearance, endearing characters, various references to and areas from its predecessor (Legend of the Seven Stars), and solid gameplay, it's one of those games that people will remember for years to come. Not being one of those who've played Legend of the Seven Stars, I'll sum up the references to the best of my ability, Mt. Lavalava and Gusty Gulch are both areas in SMRPG,...
